Educational Video Production for Virginia, Washington DC, and Beyond

Video has revolutionized the world of education by elevating concepts from the level of facts on a page to vibrant manifestations of our beautiful world. Take your viewers to the edges of the Milky Way or the heart of the Serengeti, transport them to Ancient Egypt or bring them into the world of physics with high-quality educational video production. Every subject is wondrous when viewers can immerse themselves into it.

Educational video production can also help you reach students remotely through recorded classes and interviews with experts. There’s no limit to what you can teach, and through video, there’s also no limit to how you can capture your viewer’s imaginations.

Featured Project: “The Beginning of The End for Parkinson’s Disease?”

This documentary was born out research revealed in 2015 that demonstrated a strong probability that two existing Malaria drugs could be the first treatment that could slow the progress of Parkinson’s Disease. Dynamis Pictures researched, wrote, directed, shot, and edited the film, and generated the motion graphics and 3D animation to bring it to life. Special thanks to McLean Hospital and Dr. Kwang-Soo Kim, Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard University and Director of McLean’s Molecular Neurobiology Lab for their help with this production!

Educational Video Production

Whether you want to “teach to the camera” from your classroom, record interviews with notable experts, or create a documentary-style excursion into a subject à la Discovery Channel, we can help you share your vision (literally!) with educational video production that entertains and informs your audience. Our arsenal includes highly portable equipment that can fit into the crevices of a cave or the back of your classroom. If we can get there, we can capture it.

Photography & Photo Retouching

Photography is an important part of many educational videos, especially those that focus on historical, remote, or abstract concepts. We can take care of all of your photography needs by taking them for you or retouching those you have and preparing them for video use.

We also have access to an enormous library of stock images covering virtually every topic, including archival photography.

Primary Sources (Library of Congress)

Our proximity to DC gives us access to one of the largest repositories of learning and knowledge in the world – The Library of Congress. If your video could benefit from primary sources, such as video footage of the Magna Carta or original portraits of Civil War soldiers, we will make arrangements with the library to either use existing media or take our own.

Video Editing

Using the videos and photos we accumulated during the production phase of the project or using your own footage, we skillfully weave together lectures, interviews, and shots that illustrate your topic, with a focus on keeping the viewer engaged and aiding understanding. We then submit the rough edit to you for feedback before taking the edit into the second phase of editing where the cut will be carefully polished, refined, and prepared to be fit with motion graphics.

Motion Graphics

Fly through an array of pictures, travel down an interactive timeline, watch Timothy Matlack’s pen the words of the Declaration of Independence, and more. Motion graphics are a particularly important part of educational videos, due to their ability to illustrate abstract concepts, add visual interest, and lend an air of 21st-century polish to your video. We use the industry’s leading software to create unique graphics and leave your students hungry for more knowledge.
